Ioana Marchis-Rusu is a Senior Partner in Emerging Technologies within Flutter Functions, the division that plays a supporting role for the technology hubs across the Flutter group, including Betfair Romania Development. In her role, Ioana conducts research on emerging technologies, with a strong focus over the past few years on accelerating the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the company. She founded and leads an internal AI community group and has initiated an extended AI community on Slack, which now brings together over 2,400 colleagues. Alongside the core community, Ioana has developed the group’s AI ethics principles, an internal AI usage guide, and in 2022, she organized AI Week, an internal online conference that gathered over 2,400 participants from across the organization. She is passionate about technology, AI, ethics, and philosophy.
